Lathrup Village (MI) Master Plan Amendment 2011

What is a Master Plan?
The City of Lathrup Village’s Master Plan for Land Use represents an opportunity to set the course for sustainable development and redevelopment in the City through the establishment of goals, objectives, strategies, and plans. The Master Plan is comprehensive, providing for future land use, transportation, and community facilities and services in a coordinated fashion. It portrays a clear statement of community goals and objectives, establishes a vision of the future, and includes plans to achieve the vision. In addition, the Plan promotes a land use pattern that is consistent with the community’s goals.

The purpose of the 2011 Amendment is to add a Non-Motorized Thoroughfare Plan and subsequently develop a Complete Streets Ordinance.

Public input is a valuable part of the Master Plan process. An online survey was conducted in March 2011, and a public open house was held on April 27, 2011.

The draft Complete Streetscape plan is available for viewing.
